Field Trip to the Zoo
Our daytrip to the Cincinnati Zoo. We were going to go to the Ft Wayne zoo, but it was supposed to rain, so Dad decided to head to Cincinnati instead. It was a beautiful, hot, sunny day!!! Good call, Dad!!

Baby Lewis
We love our new baby cousin! He is so adorable, cute, and also disgusting. Disgusting might seem like a strange word for a baby, but it isn't so strange for a baby who PEES ON YOU! You read that right. He peed on me. Mom said I was a little too close to the diaper changing process and she was right (although he might have gotten me wet if I were across the room!)!! I know now to listen to my dear old Mom. That must have happened to her before.
Other than the pee incident, he isn't disgusting. Actually, I wanted to hold him over and over but Mom kept taking him away. She said she was worried I'd drop him, but I think she just wanted him all to herself. I saw how she kept rubbing and kissing his cheeks.
Little Lewis - we love you already!

Leap Year - WOW!
Did you know that today is leap day? I did some "leaps" in the park to celebrate. We got an extra day this year and my oh my what a day it was! Can you even believe it is almost 70 degrees in February?! We went to a new park today just to check things out. It turns out, it's a great park! Here are some pictures of me and my little sister at that park. ((hugs)) E1

Starry Night
Mom had a great idea - we would color a painting just like Vincent Van Gogh. I recognized his name from Little Einsteins (E2's favorite show - she calls it "rocket"). Here we are with the finished works of art. Don't tell Mom, but I think mine looks the most like the original - don't you?

Oops Poops
Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh I believe in yesterday
Suddenly....
Oh, I feel just like the Beatles when I think about yesterday (actually now it was the day before yesterday). I had an accident. Mommy warned me about going "big potty" in my panties, but I didn't listen. I snuck off behind the kitchen table and hid behind the curtain and did my business.
Mommy came into the room and with a SNIFF, SNIFF she smelled what I had done. She took my hand and led me to the bathroom. I wondered if I was going for a "counseling session" or to sit on the potty, so I started declaring that I preferred the latter choice. I yelled, "potty, potty, peese, potty".
Mommy was explaining that I needed to tell her if I had to go potty and that there are only two acceptable places to put poop - the toilet or a diaper.
Then she pulled my panties down and the insides of my legs were smeared with stinky, smooshy poop. And as I took my foot out of the panties, I got it all over my heal and then proceeded to stand down on that foot. Mommy completely freaked out at this point.
If you don't know my Mommy very well, she has a pretty bad phobia with germs. She thinks bleach smells good, if that tells you anything.
She was so worried about my tracking poop all over the bathroom that she had me sit down so she could clean my foot. Did you catch that? Sit down. She hadn't wiped my rear end yet.
At this point, I felt so badly for Mommy and kind of terrible that I had made such a mess in my panties, kind of. I still don't want to go big potty on the toilet.
Mommy quickly wiped me down as best as she could and then scrubbed me up in the shower. I'm not sure what she did to that bathroom but it smelled of pinesol, clorox, lysol, and dial soap.
It is all clean now, but man, what an ordeal! I guess someone learned a lesson after all that. Mommy will think twice before putting ME in panties again. wink, wink.

New Beds
I am getting to be such a big girl now. One sign of this is that I can use the big potty now (and today I even got to wear big girl panties)! I was not really ready for this big of a change because it means that my Mom is constantly asking me if I have to go to the bathroom, but Mom has promised swimming lessons if I can keep these panties dry all the time. I'd do just about anything to have swimming lessons.
One other great surprise for me being such a big girl - new beds. These are not your regular twin beds. Nope, Mom and Dad got us a fancy bunk bed. Let's just say it is awesome!! The only downside is that I am so excited about the bed being so awesome that it takes a long tme to fall asleep. I hope the excitement wears off - never!

Snow much fun!
What a surprise to wake up to snow falling down! Dad said he thought it might melt, but it is still there (an answer to my prayer)! It was even falling in humongous snowflakes!
Mom took us out to play. We went sledding, made snowballs, snow angels and even a couple snowmen.
I covered the baby Jesus with snow, but Mom made me brush it off. She said it was disrespectful. Oops.
We had SNOW much fun! I hope you got a chance to get out and play. ((hugs)) E1

Ringing the Bell
Wow, we did something super fun tonight! We got to put on the red aprons and ring the bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle drive. It was so much fun - well, the first part was fun, but we were there a long time. Mom said it was only 3 hours but it felt like 6. E2 was super excited to be hanging out at our local Kroger - for about 15 minutes. Then she was ready for the car. But then Daddy showed up and we all got to hang out together as a family.
So much fun!
And to top it all off, the money that was put into the kettle goes for a good cause. Mom said that the Salvation Army helps a lot of people who need it. They give people food, shelter, and help them with problems they might have. How wonderful!
I was such a good helper (all the people remarked about it, too)! I rang the bell. I sang songs. I helped some people put the money into the bowl.
But E2 did something even better than that. She went up to one lady and pulled at her pocket looking for some loose change. Ha ha ha!! I couldn't believe it!
So remember to put some change in the red kettle at your local store. Every penny, nickel, dime and quarter counts. The bells are ringing to remind us about the poor who need our help. Do you hear them?
The florist at Kroger loves us! She gave us free balloons.

Fall Recap
Fall has been filled with so many exciting things that we didn't have much time to post the pictures - but here they are...
This is E2 - she loves to play the "pewter" (computer) now.
Mom even picked out a pie pumpkin. She is going to make her own puree and then make a pie. Mmmm, I can't wait! Maybe she'll let me help.
Yes, E2 had to stop and sniff the flowers.
Here we are dressed up for the Harvest Party at church. There was a bounce house (Mom made me take off the hair for the bounce house) and games and candy - that spells perfection in my book !!! I am dressed up like Rapunzel and E2 is a pumpkin (again).

With all the chilly weather, Mom thought it was a good idea to get out the hats, scarves and gloves. You know what that means!? My favorite season (winter) is just around the corner. I wore this hat and scarf almost all day. I am so excited for snow, sledding and hot cocoa.
We walked down the road to the pumpkin patch. Ok, Mom and Dad did most of the walking and us girls rode in the wagon. I did have to walk and get a piggy back ride on the way back because the pumpkins took my seat.
The pumpkins were a bit heavier than I was expecting. I held it for a minute, but I nearly dropped it. Good thing we have Daddy.

You see, the pumpkins got my seat on the way home. That's ok. It was a great trip to the pumpkin patch!!! Best of all, we went as a family!
What a great day!
