Worship Leader - Me? Wow!

Finally, they have recognized my talents. Mr. Mick called on me, humble E1, to lead a worship song at Wednesday Warriors....on stage......with a microphone!!

Can you even imagine! When I got home, Mom asked me if I was nervous. I said not for that small crowd (of about 30 people), but if it was a concert....then I'd be nervous.

Dad was a little slow on the draw, but he got some of it on camera.

Video and Pictures - we love fall!

It has been a while since I uploaded a video - so here you go. It is hard to believe that my lil sis is getting so big, but she sure is! It must be because she loves broccoli so much! Here she is dancing around the living room - and then a quick costume change - and some more dancing. She is really a cute lil girl - almost as cute as me. :) Below the video are some pictures of us girls at the park. The leaves are so beautiful that Mom said she couldn't resist taking pictures  - when all we wanted to do was go to the playground.

Enjoy!

VBS

If I were 3, VBS might be super fantastic. I hear Sissy talking about all sorts of super cool things. We sing all the fun songs at home, but then I miss out on the fun singing at church with all the big kids. She gets a snack, game time, craft time, and even some super fun teaching about the most important person who ever lived (surely you know who THAT is -- a big hint is His name starts with a "J" and ends with "esus").  But instead of super fun stuff, I'm stuck in the room with the babies. And, something is really messed up with the days. I am waking up at the same time, and I go to bed when it starts to get dark, but the days seem SOOOOOO long! I just don't get it. I feel sleepy, but I am still at church and it is still light. I'm so confused. Mom said it is something about saving time, but I can't figure out what we're saving it for.

Anyway, here are some fun pictures (and here is a link to the video) of what Sissy is doing at VBS.

Here is how super cool our church sanctuary looks.

In case you missed it....

That last post had a video link with it, so if you missed it, then click here to see the video of the power wheelin' adventure.

Powerwheel Fun

Oh, I had forgotten how much fun it was to ride around in the Jeep! Wow, the wind in my face, bugs in my teeth, waving at the neighbors and passing cars (like a princess), and feeling the white-knuckle grip that E2 has on my knee - nothing like it, I tell you! I have no idea what she is so scared of because I am an excellent driver.  But, it must not be too scary because she still gets back in for more and more "wide" (rides).

This morning when we were on the deck, I thought that E2 was hurt because she let out a huge scream. After I declared my innocence at top volume so all would know I didn't do anything, we figured out what happened. She had picked up her bucket to play with it and inside was a tree frog. I am not sure what the details of their meeting was, but she is convinced that it bit her. I don't know if they even have teeth, but she keeps insisting that it gave her an owie on her finger. She is so silly.

That sister of mine also missed out on some of the bike ride today. She started off ok, but then she fell asleep. She was so tired and Mom thought we could make it back in time to put her to bed. Guess not. But Mom, Dad and me rode our bikes for over 5 miles. Yes, you read that right - I rode over 5 miles, too. I am on the trail-a-bike now and I LOVE it!! It was hard for Mom to center the picture because we were riding down the road at the time. :)  I hope you had as great of a Saturday as we have had! ((hugs)) E1

What a morning!

What a morning this has been?!?!? I have learned how to talk on the phone (talked to both Daddy and Sissy). I even learned how to open the door - you know the kind with that round door knob that is so tricky to open. I am getting so big (and don't mind saying so myself)! Here is a video of me talking on the phone with Sissy - she did most of the talking, but I am such a GOOD listener! I did manage to get in a couple of words, but that's tough with Sissy around (no offense).

Palm Sunday Kids' Choir 2011

Here is a link to the kids singing at church on Sunday. I felt like a Princess in my curls, but Mom reminded me that it is more important to worship God than to look pretty. That's sure a hard lesson when you're as cute as I was on Sunday....

Hopefully you all make it to church to worship God on Easter Sunday - the best holiday of the year. The day we celebrate our Lord and Savior raising from the dead - defeating death - so He could save us from our sins. Hallelujah, What a Savior! Lil E2 has been practicing Christ the Lord is Risen Today - and  she is really good at the Alleluia part. :)

What's in the Bible 5

We are so excited for the 5th video in the What's in the Bible series! It is all about 1 & 2nd Samuel (King Saul, King David and King Solomon). You can check out the video trailer and see if you want a copy of this for your own home library. :)

Riding the tricycle

Wow - Mommy brought out this super cool tricycle the other day (you know, that one day, when the sun was shining and it was pretty warm and not so windy that we feared a tree might fall on our heads....) and I LOVE it! Sissy was really intent on showing me how to use it. Just watch the video (click here) and you'll see why I am not so quick to take her advice.

20 Months

It is so hard to believe that I am 20 months old now. I mean, it feels like I should be so much older. I have been alive - well, practically my whole life! There are so many things I love to do. One is to sing and dance to music. I also love animals - especially our 2 pets, Mindy and Blacky. It turns out that Mindy is starting to like me a little bit more, but she is still persnickety. Mommy says it's because she's a crotchety old lady, disguised as a cat. Of course, Mommy also says that if she keeps up with her cranky attitude, she just might lose her first digits. OUCH! I think I'd straighten up if I were her. I am also learning my ABCs. I don't speak real well yet, so sometimes it is easier for me to say the sound the letter makes instead of the letter name. But, I am learning. Mommy and Daddy say that I seem to be learning just as quickly as Sissy - I just don't talk as much - but then again, who does? Geesh.

Here is a video clip of me showing off. There is also a little clip that shows how super adorable and sweet I am to our cat and how mean she is to me. I'm such a victim!

Ice, Ice Baby!

Wow - there is a lot of ice outside today. Thankfully, God is in control and so far, He has kept our power on. Mom and Dad are a little nervous about it. I am too now that I realize I won't be able to play Wii without power. Please keep our power on, please.

But, the ice is good for one thing...sledding! We have already been out twice today. Poor E2 wants to keep coming out, but she hates the ice coming down in her face (not to mention the snot that freezes on her nose). Her little cheeks stay red for a long time after we are inside. But she still cries to go back outside.

Here is a video of me and Dad going down the hill. Mom says I look like a penguin when I put my feet out to "push" us farther.

We pray that you are staying warm, inside and that your power stays on.

Love to all

Children's Christmas Choir

Here is a video of E1 singing in the Christmas choir at church last Sunday.
It appears there is still a technical error with the blogger website, so you'll need to copy and paste the link into the address line of your browser....

Funny Video

Here is a funny video (click below) of me and E2. I am such a wonderful dancer (and I don't mind saying so) and E2 just loves to try and mess it all up. She is such a cRaZy bAbY!

I have fun too

Just because Sissy gets to leave and do fun things like meet Sid the Science Kid doesn't mean I'm not having fun. I have lots of fun. I am getting really good at climbing and running and rolling. I can almost do a somersault all by myself  now! I still kind of go sideways, but I'll get it soon enough. You know what I'm really good at? Dancing. That's right - I've got rhythm! Here is a video of some dancing and it ends with an assisted somersault. You'll see - now that it's on youtube,
they'll be calling me from America's Got Talent soon enough.

Life

Life around our house isn't terribly exciting. Most days, we do about the same thing. I get out of bed and eat my oatmeal with *granilla* (granola) and watch Clifford the Big Red Dog (although today I shook it up a little by watching Robin Hood). Then I have my second breakfast of either a mini-bagel or a waffle and my vitamins. Then I get ready for the day (some times this is a couple hours after I first wake up). Mom sweeps the floor while I am eating and E2 is in the play pen. Mom's usually busy in the kitchen for a while in the mornings. Some days we have play dates before lunch - but we almost always come back around lunchtime so that E2 can take her a little nappy. After nap, we usually play at the house and then Mom cooks dinner - then we eat - and play a little more and then bathtime, reading, singing, praying and then time for bed.  Sounds kind of boring, eh? It might when I put it that way, but just watch this video and see if you see anything boring about our playtime. I just double dog dare ya not to laugh! :)

Learning 2b nice

My little sister is a bully. She hits and scratches and bites. She tackles me to the ground - well, not because she is stronger, but she usually catches me by surprise and I'm laughing so hard I fall. Mom is trying to teach her to be nice. I think E2 might actually be catching on. See this video....

Playing Get You

I found a new game that I LOVE to play. Mommy (or Sissy) hide in the kitchen and I find them and they yell out, "I'm gonna get you" and I squeal and run. They chase me down and tickle me. I LOVE IT!!!  Here is some video of us playing. Told you I loved it. :)

The Bee's Wing

I love textures! I love to touch fuzzy things, rough things, shiny things - especially shiny things. But, I have a small problem. I am stronger than I realize. I was playing with my favorite texture book and oops! I pulled the bees wing off. I was a little surprised at my own strength and carried that wing around for a long time. With Mommy's insistent urging, I even resisted the temptation to chew on the wing. Mommy tried to tape the wing back on, but I snapped it off within seconds. Here is a video of me and "the wing". :)
