Friday - Final day of fun

Mom sure did try to cram in as much fun stuff as she could today. We got to go to Conner Prairie, paint fun pictures, and even slip and slide! All that fun and then off to VBS for the final day. It makes me so sad that it is the final day. I don't want it to ever end and don't ever want Cole to go home. But, Mom says Cole misses his Mom, Grandparents, Jazzy and Felix (dog and cat) and all his friends.....so I guess all good things must come to an end. My bedroom is going to be so lonely without him.....

The balloon wasn't flying - bummer!

Matching the skins to the footprint for local Indiana animals (beaver, otter, raccoon, bobcat and deer)

Visiting the Trade Post

Trying to make fire with flint and steel.....this is way harder than it looks!

The "teacher" made it look so easy.....I think he was just showing off!

Visitng the animals in the barn (donkey, calf, goats, sheep)

Science Lab - I wish we would have had more time to spend here.

Back home for some more slippin and a slidin! Today the wind was blowing so we had to take some breaks in the baby pool filled with nice warm water.

Wednesday

What a busy day! It started off kind of slow, although Mom looked awfully busy in that kitchen (she said she was cooking for our friends who have a sick little boy). Then we scurried off to Cool Creek Park for Mom’s book club. She reads the books and talks about them, and we get to play – cool, she does all the work!  A friend, Alex, was there from church and we liked playing with her before our other friends from church (and the book club) got there. After playing for a while, we hurried back home so the baby could take a nap. One of the things we need to do for VBS is to try to do some chores to earn extra money to donate to missions at church (and it is a contest to see who can raise the most money). So, Cole and I picked up sticks in the yard – and after all the storms and wind we have had, there were a LOT of sticks. So after all our hard work, I earned 50 cents (I took a lot of breaks) and Cole earned $2 (he picked up all the big sticks). Then, when the baby woke up from her nap, if we ate all our lunch(chicken nuggets, sweet potatoes, pears, and cucumbers) quickly (which the quick part is a challenge for me) – then we got to go to the splash park. As you can see from the pictures below – we did it! Looks like another beautiful day that the Lord has made – I sure will rejoice and be glad in it (when I wake up).  VBS wears me out! Love to all – E1

Tuesday Fun

Well, in the morning, we just hung out at home. E2 had an appointment with the lady who looks at her mouth (which means I am banished like a princess in the tower to my room, but at least this time Cole was banished with me). We did do some drawing, cutting and coloring. C taught me how to make an origami cup in case I was ever lost in the wilderness with a piece of paper and needed a drink from a small stream. He also told me how to turn nasty or salty water into something I could drink, but I didn’t understand. For now, I’ll just use the refrigerator water. After the morning appointment, we got to do something totally exciting – grocery shopping. Woohoo, who doesn’t like to be snapped at for about an hour by her Mom saying “don’t touch that”, “don’t break that”, “no, there’s too much sugar”, “that’s not good for you”, “you shouldn’t need a rest, you’re 4 with all kinds of energy”. I mean come on –it’s like heaven (not). After my nap (oh, did I mention that Mom said I must need a nap because I was arguing and bossing so much?), we played some Wii while Mom got dinner ready. Then, off to VBS again. I love it! I love learning about God. I love it that C is with us. I love it that everyone else is so excited! I just LOVE it! I especially love the dancing and singing. C and I have learned our verse already – it is Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Yeah, we are kind of smart – we just learned it on the ride home. Not that we’re bragging – God made us this way.

Love to all,
E1

This is E2 playing with the magnifying glass.
Coloring and Crafting.

Reaching, reaching....just a little more....
Before VBS.

Some shots of the sanctuary at church - it totally doesn't look like our lil white church now! Pharoah came in and took over.
E1 dancing to I've Got DNA. :)

E2 having fun going through the pyramid entrance. Where'd the fancy french doors go?

Fun week

This week my most favoritest person in the whole world since I was born is staying with us and I couldn't be more excited!!!  Mommy said she is sure his Mom is missing him so we are going to post some pictures and stories all week (well, as much as we can). :)  It is VBS at our church, so not only do I get to spend time with my favorite person, we get to learn about God every day at church - super fantastic!!!!  I can't wait for it to start - but it isn't until this evening. Daddy said the church looks super fantastic too. I'M SO EXCITED!!!   This morning, my most favorite person - C - is playing legos with me. He even gets to sleep in the same room as me -and I loved talking to him before I drifted off to sleep - even if his back was turned to me and he was pretending to sleep, I still loved it!  ((hugs)) E1

Hot fun in the Summertime

So we have been busy playing tea party on the deck.

Today we even went to Conner Prairie. I don't think Mommy realized how hot it was outside. It was so hot that even the goats were standing in front of the fans.

We quickly ended up in the playroom where it was nice and cool. Instantly, Sissy ran over and put on a dress up dress (ok, she put on about 4 different ones). She looked so fabulous and I was so jealous. Mommy kept telling me I was too small for dress up, but I kept pointing and saying "that" (pronounced "duh"). Finally, she put me in a sailer top (that fit like a dress). I just stood there showing off for everyone in the playroom for about 5 minutes. I know, I looked stunning - they all told me so. :)

Bad Day

How you know it is going to be a bad day:
- When you wake up in the morning and Mommy doesn't give you something to eat (even though you beg and plead)
- Then Mommy AND Daddy (that's right, he stayed home on a weekday when he normally goes to work) both put you in the car and take you bye bye.
- Then you go into a big building and lots of people come in and tell you how cute you are (and they are all wearing the same outfits that look like jammies with funny hats).
- Then they put a tag on your ankle.
- Then they take you away from your Mommy and Daddy into a bright room with crazy lights and lots of people running around with masks and goggles and they even make you wear one of the masks....

That is how a bad day starts - or at least how MY bad day started. The next thing I know, my ears are killing me and my tongue  hurts SO badly! Now I am so hungry but I can't really eat because it hurts my ears and my tongue. How horrible!! It was so bad that I tried to warn everyone to steer clear of this hospital because it is full of a bunch of sadists! I screamed at the top of my lungs to warn everyone, all the way home - and even some once we got home. Finally, I was able to eat and watcha little veggietales and I fell fast asleep. I felt a little better when I woke up, but am still not able to eat very well. I don't know why I was put through such pain, but maybe in the long run, it'll be a good thing.

Please pray for me,
E2

Bike Ride

I didn't realize that the Mommy's Day present that we got for Mommy was going to be so much fun for ME! It turns out that now that she has a new bicycle, we can all go for a ride together. Sissy and I go in the trailer and Mommy and Daddy pull us on the big bikes (either one can pull us, but not at the same time - that'd be silly). :) It was a bit hot and Sissy is awfully big and my helmet was a bit large and kept falling over my eyes, but other than all that, it was gReAt! I can't wait to go everywhere this summer in the trailer. :)   ((hugs)) E2
