Like summer!

That's right, yesterday was such a great day and it felt like SUMMER! We had such a great day playing outside. In the morning, we played at our park and went "WEE" (swinging). Then after I woke up from nap (I'm not really sure what Mommy and Sissy did while I was napping, but I am sure it was boring and not worth mentioning), it was a LOT hotter, so Mommy brought out some buckets of water to play with - SO FUN! I had forgotten how much fun it is to play with water on the deck! I played for hours out there!

Here is Sissy trying to show me how to properly play with the water. She is always so, um, what's the word, helpful (?).

When Mommy took my undershirt off, I took the opportunity to run away and insist on a little shirtless time. Mom eventually said I had to put my shirt on when Sissy wanted to take her shirt off. I love to be naked!!

What a morning!

What a morning this has been?!?!? I have learned how to talk on the phone (talked to both Daddy and Sissy). I even learned how to open the door - you know the kind with that round door knob that is so tricky to open. I am getting so big (and don't mind saying so myself)! Here is a video of me talking on the phone with Sissy - she did most of the talking, but I am such a GOOD listener! I did manage to get in a couple of words, but that's tough with Sissy around (no offense).

Picture Time!

Can you believe there are less than 4 weeks of school left? It is sure hard for ME to believe!! I don’t know what Mom has planned for us this summer, but I bet it’s gonna be fun! Below are some pictures Mom has taken of us lately. I thought you might want to see them. J There is also a video link (click here) of us eating dinner with Mom (Dad is out hunting, so he isn’t there). Mom gets E2 to say some funny things, and I’m pretty darn cute, too. J

Here is E2 all dolled up - which is pretty normal for her. She is quite the fancy Nancy.

And, whenever Mom is taking a picture of E2, I like for her to snap a picture of me as well. :) Mom always tells me to Smile, but I just don't think smiling is my thing. Would you agree?

This is one of the many benefits of being homeschooled - I can do my reading Outside on pretty days! Even though we haven't had too many of those this spring, I have soaked up as much Vitamin D as I can (and Mom is right beside me).

Here we are coloring. Look at the wonderful form E2 has with the crayon. She has Perfect Form!

Happy Easter

Our day was filled with jelly beans, yummy desserts, fancy stuff - and best of all, church and wonderful songs about our great Savior! We pray that your day was just as blessed!

Please pray for me

Please say a little prayer for me. I keep hearing Daddy, Mommy and Sissy talk about how great Easter weekend is and  how it is the best holiday ever (and I remember how much fun Christmas was - so I'm getting pretty excited about an even better holiday than Christmas).....but I am sick (again). Please pray that this runny nose and yucky cough will go away (and that no one else in our family catches it) so that we can have a fantastic Easter weekend. I have been practicing my Alleluia's and everything! Mommy has a super cute pastel springy dress for me to wear (something about being as cute as an Easter egg).  But I don't think Mommy will let me do any of that if I am still sick. So please pray that this yucky germ bug will leave soon, very soon!

Palm Sunday Kids' Choir 2011

Here is a link to the kids singing at church on Sunday. I felt like a Princess in my curls, but Mom reminded me that it is more important to worship God than to look pretty. That's sure a hard lesson when you're as cute as I was on Sunday....

Hopefully you all make it to church to worship God on Easter Sunday - the best holiday of the year. The day we celebrate our Lord and Savior raising from the dead - defeating death - so He could save us from our sins. Hallelujah, What a Savior! Lil E2 has been practicing Christ the Lord is Risen Today - and  she is really good at the Alleluia part. :)

What's in the Bible 5

We are so excited for the 5th video in the What's in the Bible series! It is all about 1 & 2nd Samuel (King Saul, King David and King Solomon). You can check out the video trailer and see if you want a copy of this for your own home library. :)

Riding the tricycle

Wow - Mommy brought out this super cool tricycle the other day (you know, that one day, when the sun was shining and it was pretty warm and not so windy that we feared a tree might fall on our heads....) and I LOVE it! Sissy was really intent on showing me how to use it. Just watch the video (click here) and you'll see why I am not so quick to take her advice.

Spring Break

Here are some pictures from our spring break vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. We probably would have had more pictures except Mom forgot the cameras. We had to borrow Cole's.  It was super fantastic! We had a great time! We got to go to the Aquarium, play putt putt, go to the beach a lot of times, go to the pool at the resort many times. We even got to visit with some of our family that we don't see very often. I am sure going to miss Anna, Great Grandma Ardelean, Uncle Jim & Aunt Diane, Uncle Danny, Kristianne, Katieanne, Eduard, Leeannedra and even Essie. What a great vacation! The best part was that my Daddy didn't have to work and he got to come with us. I sure love my Dad.

In our room the first night. Cole was so excited to get his own room.

Cole and Anna at the beach. This is when Mom was still trying to figure out his camera, so it was a little over exposed (for some reason, it was set that way...hmmmm)

Putt-putting. Dad won (of course), but Great Grandma was a close second. Go Grandma go!

Me and Cole at the beach

 Hollywood Evelyn
Loving the resort pool - it was heated and indoors, so it didn't matter that it was rainy and cold outside for most of the trip.

E2 says she's ready to go to the big "Baa" (bath)

What a great vacation that God blessed our family with!

Children's Museum Take 1

Mommy said that since Sissy has done such a great job of not chewing on her gigi anymore (I guess that's kind of like her pacifier), that she and Daddy were going to reward her with a membership to the Children's Museum. I am so thankful because it turns out it is a family pass - and I'm in the family - so hooray for me! I got a reward and I still get to keep my pacifier. ;)

I didn't know what to expect. But right off - there was a giant dinosaur and her baby trying to get in the front. I wasn't sure this was much of a reward. Then we went to a whole room of dinosaurs. OK, not dinosaurs - but their bones. So that means something that was bigger and meaner than they are was at the museum, too, and it ate them! I could hear it growling as we walked through the dinosphere. We got out of there just in time!

Then we went to a room called Playscape - that sounded super cool. Sissy ran right up to play in sand, and I touched it, but that was it. It felt too weird! I wanted nothing to do with it. But I did like running around there and sliding down the slides.

Then we went to the carousel. Oh boy! That made me a little dizzy and nervous. But I instinctively knew to beg for more as soon as it was over. I am sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough.

After that, we went to the Dora and Diego room - and that was super fantastic! There was a Diego and Dora statue just my size, and a slide, and a flower garden (pretend of course), and even a veterinarian station. Sissy liked that and the purple planet stuff the most. I loved the slide the most.

On the way home, we were so tuckered out. We pulled the shades, popped in a pacifier (well, for me, Sissy doesn't have one now, remember) and took a little snooze. Mommy had to stay awake to deliver us home, safe and sound.

What a great day! I can't wait for round #2. Mommy said her feet need time to rest before we head back - wimp. I guess we need to put HER in the stroller next time.
