What a wonderful thing!

Mommy is so smart. I love watermelon, but I don't love how you get little bits of it in your mouth and a lot of juice tries to sneak down your throat at the same time you are busy breathing - choke, gag, sputter !!! Mommy found this wonderful thing that she puts the watermelon pieces in and I can just suck the juice out! It is fabulous!!!  I just suck and chew on it and then when it is "empty" she fills it back up with another piece. I love my Mommy!

Dirt Dirt Everywhere Dirt

Oh you wouldn't believe what our yard looks like. It is a mEsS! I can't believe Mom can even handle it. She gets so upset when I leave a few polly pockets out in my room - and this is a HUGE mess! I mean, I can't even get to my park without first climbing a gigantic tower of dirt. Ok, I could go the long way around it, but that wouldn't be much fun. :)  I think it is supposed to rain later today. Maybe Dad'll want to use the sled and go mud sliding? How fun would tHaT be?!?! Here are a few pictures of what has been done so far. Doesn't look like much, but it won't be long and we'll have a brand new big bedroom and fun basement added onto our house. I can't wait!

This is the first day when they took out the stump - that sure was a nice big shade tree, but it is gone now!

This is at the end of the second day. Dirt everywhere. Dad says the footers are poured, but I didn't see anything that looked like a foot. Just some "concreek" (concrete) that show where the walls for the basement are going to be.

Is it too late to change my mind?

I hear the wonderful crunching sound as Sissy chews on Kix or a dum dum and I am so jealous. I want to be able to make that sound, too. So I started exploringing in Mommy & Sissy's mouths to find out what they have that I don't that can make that great sound - I found it - it's teeth! Oh those pearly whites - how I wish I had a full set in my mouth instead of just these few up front. It is hard to crunch stuff when the only teeth you have are the front bunny ones, at least it is hard for me. I tend to lose the other half of what I munched onto the floor (and for some reason, Mommy doesn't like me eating off of the floor - and she is quick to swoop in and pick it up before I can get it). So I wished and wished and wished for some teeth - and now - I want to change my order. I wish I would have wished for some of the removable kind that you put in the sink at night. The kind that are in your mouth and stay there come at a cost - and the cost is PAIN!! Constant, throbbing, stabbing, ear, eye, face, hair, mouth, neck pain! Oh it hurts so badly!!!!  Mommy says that once the teeth pop through it'll be better, but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. So, I change my mind - I don't want teeth. I'll just gum and gnaw my food. Is it to late?

One good thing - although I am not sure if this is related to the teeth or not - is that Mommy and Daddy are letting me sleep in bed without the harness now. This has been SO EXCITING! I run and run and jump and play - but I haven't figured out how to fall asleep yet. I do sort of miss the way the harness fit me snugly - like a big hug. I am really having a hard time figuring out how to sleep without it. I guess it just takes time.

Learning 2b nice

My little sister is a bully. She hits and scratches and bites. She tackles me to the ground - well, not because she is stronger, but she usually catches me by surprise and I'm laughing so hard I fall. Mom is trying to teach her to be nice. I think E2 might actually be catching on. See this video....

Strutting my stuff

That's right, I know I look good. :) I'm gonna go strut some more stuff at the pool today. Kick back and relax, that's my new motto. Ok, not really. My motto is "do whatever it takes to keep em guessin" and "make as much noise as possible". Hope you are staying cool! ((hugs)) E2

More Fun

We are so busy this summer that it is hard to find time to write about all the fun things. When we do have down time, we are usually reading so that I can get more prizes from the library. I got a toy shark for reading 10 books already and want to hurry and finish the next 10 so I can get another prize. Here are a couple of pictures - since pictures are worth a thousand hundred words - of the fun we have been having....

Me in my new super snazzy goggles. Now I can be like Cole and see underwater.

E2 in her floatie. She loves the pool (and all water, really).

This time, she was in the baby pool and I went to the big pool with my friends. E2 was trying to find the way out of the baby pool so she could come and be with me. :) Yep, she loves me.

Playing E2's favorite game of "get you".
She loves to put things in her hair (and then take them out and chew on them - eeewwww!)

Playing Get You

I found a new game that I LOVE to play. Mommy (or Sissy) hide in the kitchen and I find them and they yell out, "I'm gonna get you" and I squeal and run. They chase me down and tickle me. I LOVE IT!!!  Here is some video of us playing. Told you I loved it. :)

I'm so big...

Do you remember that I had a birthday? I am one now and listen up – I am big stuff! I can do way more things all on my own than you even realize. Can you believe that Mommy and Daddy thought I needed help walking around the sprinkler park today? They’d reach down to hold my hands and I’d threaten to bite them (by threaten I mean put my open mouth on their hands and rub my teeth around so they could feel how sharp they were). I mean, please, what do they think I am – like 11 months old or something? I’m a year old now and I can handle it on my own. I even made some “my size” friends (my size meaning I looked straight at them and we were face to face). It was great! I think one little girl might have even been shorter than me (hee hee!). Sissy was a big sissy at the sprinkler park today. She was “cold” and sitting on the bench most of the time while I was out carousing with my new friends. I was a splishin and a splashin – movin and a groovin!

Earlier today, we did something super fantastic! We went to Conner Prairie, but this time, Daddy was with us (woohoo!)! We went in and got our stickers, like usual, and we headed out toward the barn, like usual, but then….. Mommy and Daddy stopped by the gigantic balloon. They bought tickets and then we got on the balloon!!! After a bumpy start, we went up, up, up…. I felt just like Russell and Mr. Fredrickson! We were so high up that we could almost see our house! Thankfully, Mommy had me tucked in nice and close in the carrier. Daddy and Sissy looked a bit nervous and we all seemed a little relieved when the balloon bumped back onto the ground.

Hope you guys had a great day celebrating Mommy & Uncle Tim’s birthday. I don’t know exactly how old they are, but I’m pretty sure they are more than just one year old.

You can see Indianapolis if you look off at the horizon....

This is the fake balloon so that you can get a picture without your hair in your face (or a look of terror for those with a weak stomach). :)

Always looking for something to dress up in.

Learning how to be part of the militia for the war. OK, Sissy had no idea what she was doing, but she did like the marching part. :)

Keeping busy by trying to pull the sticker off of Daddy's shirt.

Pumping water. We are so lucky to have a faucet and hot water heater!

Square dancing. E1 didn't quite get it, but it was still fun.

In the pottery barn - ok, not THE Pottery Barn, but the building where they made the pots, bowls, ink wells and mugs. :)
