Oops Poops

Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh I believe in yesterday
Suddenly....

Oh, I feel just like the Beatles when I think about yesterday (actually now it was the day before yesterday). I had an accident. Mommy warned me about going "big potty" in my panties, but I didn't listen. I snuck off behind the kitchen table and hid behind the curtain and did my business.

Mommy came into the room and with a SNIFF, SNIFF she smelled what I had done. She took my hand and led me to the bathroom. I wondered if I was going for a "counseling session" or to sit on the potty, so I started declaring that I preferred the latter choice. I yelled, "potty, potty, peese, potty".

Mommy was explaining that I needed to tell her if I had to go potty and that there are only two acceptable places to put poop - the toilet or a diaper.

Then she pulled my panties down and the insides of my legs were smeared with stinky, smooshy poop. And as I took my foot out of the panties, I got it all over my heal and then proceeded to stand down on that foot. Mommy completely freaked out at this point.

If you don't know my Mommy very well, she has a pretty bad phobia with germs. She thinks bleach smells good, if that tells you anything.

She was so worried about my tracking poop all over the bathroom that she had me sit down so she could clean my foot. Did you catch that? Sit down. She hadn't wiped my rear end yet.

At this point, I felt so badly for Mommy and kind of terrible that I had made such a mess in my panties, kind of. I still don't want to go big potty on the toilet.

Mommy quickly wiped me down as best as she could and then scrubbed me up in the shower. I'm not sure what she did to that bathroom but it smelled of pinesol, clorox, lysol, and dial soap.

It is all clean now, but man, what an ordeal!  I guess someone learned a lesson after all that. Mommy will think twice before putting ME in panties again. wink, wink.

New Beds

I am getting to be such a big girl now. One sign of this is that I can use the big potty now (and today I even got to wear big girl panties)! I was not really ready for this big of a change because it means that my Mom is constantly asking me if I have to go to the bathroom, but Mom has promised swimming lessons if I can keep these panties dry all the time. I'd do just about anything to have swimming lessons.

One other great surprise for me being such a big girl - new beds. These are not your regular twin beds. Nope, Mom and Dad got us a fancy bunk bed. Let's just say it is awesome!! The only downside is that I am so excited about the bed being so awesome that it takes a long tme to fall asleep. I hope the excitement wears off - never!

Carwash

Let's just say, I do not like the carwash. I was so brave this time and didn't cry, but I had my super special (it's a new one that is super soft) Penny the Penguin snuggled up close. It made me feel a little better that Pooh and Piglet were in there, but I still was very happy when it was over. ((hugs)) E2

New Happenings

Do you remember that E2 had a birthday and that now she is 2 (Mom won't let me say she's a terrible 2, but she is. Don't tell her I said that.)? Well, I have noticed a few changes with her now that she is 2 - and it has only been a month!

Now she calls Mom, "Mom" and she says it ALL the time. She must think that big kids call say "Mom" instead of "Mommy". But even I sometimes call her "Mommy", and I'm almost 6 (way bigger than lil E2). I think that E2 uses this as some sort of homing beacon; you know, kind of like playing Marco Polo. It is constant.

She also says, "Why?" a lot now. I don't know if she is going to be a scientist like me and wonders why things work or why Mom makes certain decisions (like we have to wait 5 more minutes for lunch). But she is always asking why. It is usually followed up by a little groan of disappointment, "oooohhhh". Poor thing. It is hard learning that you are not the center of the universe. I'm still learning that myself, and I already know a lot about the solar system.

Side note about me for a second here (come on, give me a break. I dedicated the first 3 paragraphs to lil E). I am going to be learning ALL about the solar system and stars this year for school and I am super duper excited! I have already started reading the school book. Mom took it away because she said I had to learn the value of anticipation - whatever THAT's supposed to mean. She said we are even going to build a model of our solar system - WOW!!! I can't wait!

Ok, back to E2. The other big thing happening with her is that Mom is trying to teach her to go to the bathroom on the potty. At first, Mom thought she was coming to tell her she wanted to sit on the potty after she had already went in her diaper. Not exactly how it works. Now she seems to be understanding a little better. She already has a couple of reward stickers on her chart and her other reward is a bite of ice cream. She is SO silly! Jelly beans are way better than ice cream (which is what Mom gave me as a treat for going potty)! Well, we thought she was understanding better until last night....

Mom said that after she put E2 to bed, she was sitting on the couch reading on the computer when E2 started saying (you guessed it), "Mom, Mom, Mom." So she went in to see what she wanted (this usually means that poor Penny was chucked out of bed and Mom has to retrieve her). There she found E2 standing in her bed, bare bottomed, and saying "potty." Uh oh!! She must have felt "the urge" and decided that she needed to remove her diaper to go pee pee. The part she forgot was that she needed to be sitting on the toilet!! She peed all over her bed. BLECH!!!! The kicker is that she was so proud that she thought she deserved a reward sticker. Oh that lil sister of mine is so confused!

After much cleaning, Mom and Dad finally got her put back into bed. I am surprised Mom didn't put that fancy "duck tape" on her diaper. No way she could tear that off.

Hopefully your evening was a little quieter than ours. :)

Fancy stuff

Fancy - I love to dress fancy. Mom does a pretty good job of putting me in a pretty dress, but I have to put the finishing touches on the outfit with a nice summer hat and a pair of Mom's shoes. Yes ma'am, I'm stylin' (if I do say so myself). Now I'm all ready for church.

Sprinkler Park

I have to admit, I was wrong. Mommy kept on saying that we were going to play in the water at the park and I insisted that she was wrong by wanting to get in the car. I just KNEW what she meant to do was get buckets of water and take them to OUR park (playset). I didn't understand why I had to put this thing she called a swimming suit on (I wanted to just be in the super cool Nemo diaper - and that's it), and I really didn't understand why I couldn't wear my click clack princess high heels with my swimming suit. But, she was right, I was wrong. The park she meant was down the road a little bit and it was SUPER DUPER FUN!!!! Just look at the pictures and the video (click here for video) (many apologies for the horribe wind noise, you might want to turn the volume down) and see for yourself.

E1 and her instant BFF (Elizabeth in the blue suit) at the park.

I am not picking my nose here, honest.
See, Mommy got a close up to prove it was just an itch on the OUTSIDE of my nose.

E2 and - who's that, E3 (Elizabeth) making butt prints.

Just got sprayed in the face with water...not nice!

And we finished the day off with some ice cream cones (yes, again). I see now why Mommy loves summer so much.

Summer fun begins!

What a great day yesterday turned out to be!!!  Grama and Grampa Siefker came up and we had a cookout with the yummiest food EVER (watermelon and strawberries) !! I even got to eat outside and feed myself. It was WONDERFUL!! Then after a quick nappy (I was SO tired that I instantly fell sleep), we went for a bike ride to the park. Sissy played in the sprinklers, but I thought the water was COLD, BRRRRR!! After that, we to play for a long time out in the yard on our park (playset) and with buckets and buckets of water. Mom did put me to work a little bit watering her flowers, but I was happy to "howl" (help). Then, you'll never believe what we were surprised with. I have never had something so yummy in all my life. ICE CREAM CONES!! I even got to hold it all by myself. Oh, it was DELIGHTFUL - that cold, creamy, sweet ice cream (dairy free - mine was Almond Dream Vanilla and Sissy had Coconut Dream Cherry Amaretto). My taste buds were screaming - WOOHOO!!

I hope your summer has started off just as wonderful as ours did.

Night Night

Sometimes, my lil sister just makes me laugh. Other kids, you know what they like to play? Thinks like dolls, babies, legos, dinosaurs, ball....you know, all that "reguro" stuff (Pollard slang for "regular old")? Not my little sister. She likes to play "BE" (pronounced Be with a short e - it is bed without the "d"). She loves - I mean LOVES, to turn the lights out, get in MY bed, watch my birdie light, read books and cuddle with her Peebee (Penny the penguin).  She does this nearly every day, sometimes more than once. Oh, and she gets so upset if anyone wants to be in the same room and needs to have the light on. She fires up out of that bed and races over to stand on the stool (that she always has by the light switches because she also loves to turn the lights on and off) and turn the light back off. "DAIR!", (there) she will exclaim.

You know the really funny part about that? When it actually IS time to go to bed, she's terrible! She stays awake playing and laughing and crying and needing a drink of water. Yesterday during her nap, Mom said when she went in there (bacause E2 was crying), her leg was stuck between the slats of the crib. Yes, go ahead and laugh that her chubby little leg, with all of it's cute little rolls, got stuck. Laugh it up! Then, when it was time for us both to go to bed last night, somehow she got her leg hiked up over the side of the crib by the wall and proceded to scream because, again, it was stuck. That time Mom had to call for Dad to come help because she couldn't hold E2 up and pull the crib away from the wall at the same time. Unfortunately for E2, there wasn't much sympathy from Mom at that point. She was HOT! Probably a combination of the fact that it was 9:15 pm (and Mom put her in bed at 7:50 pm) and fear that she might break her neck if she falls out of her crib. I'm not sure what Mom has planned, but I bet she changes something today. Hopefully that doesn't mean I have to sleep in the crib and E2 gets my big girl bed.

Wee wee (pretty)

Oh, I figured out how Mommy gets to be so "wee wee" (pretty) each day. I knew she must have some secret because I have seen her in the night - and I'm tellin' ya, she's not lookin so hot....just sayin'. Anyway, before I get my little self into some trouble......    I caught her in the bathroom the other day and she pulled out this little black baggie full of "stuff" she was putting on her face. Note to self - check that out later.

So, I did. Mommy left the bathroom and went to the kitchen to bang things around (She does that a lot. Sometimes we end up with something yummy to eat. Other times, there is just a mess of bubbles and suds on the floor), so I had my chance to check out that black baggie. I found all kinds of cool things in there. Some fancy brushes to tickle my face with. Some powdery stuff that I wasn't sure where to put. Then I found it....JACKPOT! The tube of black stuff she put on that made her eyes just stand out. The only problem is that it must be the wrong size for my little hands or something because when I tried to put it on, I had it EVERYWHERE! On my hands, on my cheeks, in my hair. It had a little brush on it and Mommy usually brushes my hair, so I just got all kinds of confused! Blech! I hate yucky stuff on me. So when she came in with "that look" (you know what look I'm talking about - you were little once - and I know you got in trouble at least once)....I had to quickly plead innocent and complain about HER MAKEUP getting me all messy. What was she thinkin' leaving that stuff down here where little kids can get into it. That Mommy is SO irresponsible some times.

Now, each time I see her putting on that tube of black stuff - I warn her - "BLECH!" She had better be careful with that. It can easily get out of hand and make a mess. Probably not the look she's goin' for.

Like summer!

That's right, yesterday was such a great day and it felt like SUMMER! We had such a great day playing outside. In the morning, we played at our park and went "WEE" (swinging). Then after I woke up from nap (I'm not really sure what Mommy and Sissy did while I was napping, but I am sure it was boring and not worth mentioning), it was a LOT hotter, so Mommy brought out some buckets of water to play with - SO FUN! I had forgotten how much fun it is to play with water on the deck! I played for hours out there!

Here is Sissy trying to show me how to properly play with the water. She is always so, um, what's the word, helpful (?).

When Mommy took my undershirt off, I took the opportunity to run away and insist on a little shirtless time. Mom eventually said I had to put my shirt on when Sissy wanted to take her shirt off. I love to be naked!!

What a morning!

What a morning this has been?!?!? I have learned how to talk on the phone (talked to both Daddy and Sissy). I even learned how to open the door - you know the kind with that round door knob that is so tricky to open. I am getting so big (and don't mind saying so myself)! Here is a video of me talking on the phone with Sissy - she did most of the talking, but I am such a GOOD listener! I did manage to get in a couple of words, but that's tough with Sissy around (no offense).

Happy Easter

Our day was filled with jelly beans, yummy desserts, fancy stuff - and best of all, church and wonderful songs about our great Savior! We pray that your day was just as blessed!

Please pray for me

Please say a little prayer for me. I keep hearing Daddy, Mommy and Sissy talk about how great Easter weekend is and  how it is the best holiday ever (and I remember how much fun Christmas was - so I'm getting pretty excited about an even better holiday than Christmas).....but I am sick (again). Please pray that this runny nose and yucky cough will go away (and that no one else in our family catches it) so that we can have a fantastic Easter weekend. I have been practicing my Alleluia's and everything! Mommy has a super cute pastel springy dress for me to wear (something about being as cute as an Easter egg).  But I don't think Mommy will let me do any of that if I am still sick. So please pray that this yucky germ bug will leave soon, very soon!

Riding the tricycle

Wow - Mommy brought out this super cool tricycle the other day (you know, that one day, when the sun was shining and it was pretty warm and not so windy that we feared a tree might fall on our heads....) and I LOVE it! Sissy was really intent on showing me how to use it. Just watch the video (click here) and you'll see why I am not so quick to take her advice.

Children's Museum Take 1

Mommy said that since Sissy has done such a great job of not chewing on her gigi anymore (I guess that's kind of like her pacifier), that she and Daddy were going to reward her with a membership to the Children's Museum. I am so thankful because it turns out it is a family pass - and I'm in the family - so hooray for me! I got a reward and I still get to keep my pacifier. ;)

I didn't know what to expect. But right off - there was a giant dinosaur and her baby trying to get in the front. I wasn't sure this was much of a reward. Then we went to a whole room of dinosaurs. OK, not dinosaurs - but their bones. So that means something that was bigger and meaner than they are was at the museum, too, and it ate them! I could hear it growling as we walked through the dinosphere. We got out of there just in time!

Then we went to a room called Playscape - that sounded super cool. Sissy ran right up to play in sand, and I touched it, but that was it. It felt too weird! I wanted nothing to do with it. But I did like running around there and sliding down the slides.

Then we went to the carousel. Oh boy! That made me a little dizzy and nervous. But I instinctively knew to beg for more as soon as it was over. I am sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough.

After that, we went to the Dora and Diego room - and that was super fantastic! There was a Diego and Dora statue just my size, and a slide, and a flower garden (pretend of course), and even a veterinarian station. Sissy liked that and the purple planet stuff the most. I loved the slide the most.

On the way home, we were so tuckered out. We pulled the shades, popped in a pacifier (well, for me, Sissy doesn't have one now, remember) and took a little snooze. Mommy had to stay awake to deliver us home, safe and sound.

What a great day! I can't wait for round #2. Mommy said her feet need time to rest before we head back - wimp. I guess we need to put HER in the stroller next time.
