What a surprise to wake up to snow falling down! Dad said he thought it might melt, but it is still there (an answer to my prayer)! It was even falling in humongous snowflakes!
Mom took us out to play. We went sledding, made snowballs, snow angels and even a couple snowmen.
I covered the baby Jesus with snow, but Mom made me brush it off. She said it was disrespectful. Oops.
We had SNOW much fun! I hope you got a chance to get out and play. ((hugs)) E1

Ringing the Bell
Wow, we did something super fun tonight! We got to put on the red aprons and ring the bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle drive. It was so much fun - well, the first part was fun, but we were there a long time. Mom said it was only 3 hours but it felt like 6. E2 was super excited to be hanging out at our local Kroger - for about 15 minutes. Then she was ready for the car. But then Daddy showed up and we all got to hang out together as a family.
So much fun!
And to top it all off, the money that was put into the kettle goes for a good cause. Mom said that the Salvation Army helps a lot of people who need it. They give people food, shelter, and help them with problems they might have. How wonderful!
I was such a good helper (all the people remarked about it, too)! I rang the bell. I sang songs. I helped some people put the money into the bowl.
But E2 did something even better than that. She went up to one lady and pulled at her pocket looking for some loose change. Ha ha ha!! I couldn't believe it!
So remember to put some change in the red kettle at your local store. Every penny, nickel, dime and quarter counts. The bells are ringing to remind us about the poor who need our help. Do you hear them?
The florist at Kroger loves us! She gave us free balloons.

Fall Recap
Fall has been filled with so many exciting things that we didn't have much time to post the pictures - but here they are...
This is E2 - she loves to play the "pewter" (computer) now.
Mom even picked out a pie pumpkin. She is going to make her own puree and then make a pie. Mmmm, I can't wait! Maybe she'll let me help.
Yes, E2 had to stop and sniff the flowers.
Here we are dressed up for the Harvest Party at church. There was a bounce house (Mom made me take off the hair for the bounce house) and games and candy - that spells perfection in my book !!! I am dressed up like Rapunzel and E2 is a pumpkin (again).

With all the chilly weather, Mom thought it was a good idea to get out the hats, scarves and gloves. You know what that means!? My favorite season (winter) is just around the corner. I wore this hat and scarf almost all day. I am so excited for snow, sledding and hot cocoa.
We walked down the road to the pumpkin patch. Ok, Mom and Dad did most of the walking and us girls rode in the wagon. I did have to walk and get a piggy back ride on the way back because the pumpkins took my seat.
The pumpkins were a bit heavier than I was expecting. I held it for a minute, but I nearly dropped it. Good thing we have Daddy.

You see, the pumpkins got my seat on the way home. That's ok. It was a great trip to the pumpkin patch!!! Best of all, we went as a family!
What a great day!

Worship Leader - Me? Wow!
Finally, they have recognized my talents. Mr. Mick called on me, humble E1, to lead a worship song at Wednesday Warriors....on stage......with a microphone!!
Can you even imagine! When I got home, Mom asked me if I was nervous. I said not for that small crowd (of about 30 people), but if it was a concert....then I'd be nervous.
Dad was a little slow on the draw, but he got some of it on camera.

Apple Orchard with Friends
Ok, this trip to the Apple Orchard was kinda tricky. The problem - the apples were playing hide and seek. We searched high and low for those pesky apples and finally found them at the very end of the row. But you know what? They were worth it!! They are SO delicious. They are Ida Reds and they are super duper yummy!
Here are some pictures of me, E2 and our friends - the Traynors. It was such a fun trip!! Mom was especially thankful for Mrs. Traynor because Mom forgot her purse (she blamed it on something about getting old). So the apples were on Mrs Traynor! What a friend!!
For the longest time, we thought this one apple was the last one hanging at the orchard - until we finally hit the jackpot in the Ida Red row...

Weekend Fun
What a great weekend! We got to play at Eagle Creek with our cousins! That was super fun! And then today we got to hang out with Grandpa and Grandma - woohoo! Ok, there wasn't much play time involved because they were helping Dad build his new barn, but it was still great to see them! E2 tried to help, but Dad says she's too small. I was busy raking the leaves into a pile - but you see who messed up the pile while I was at church.
Oh well, we'll rake them again tomorrow.
I hope you had a great weekend, too!!
Love,
E1
